The leader of the Labour group at Norfolk County Council has been re-elected for the eighth year in a row.
Steve Morphew, who represents Catton Grove division, was re-elected, unopposed, by his group.
Mike Smith-Clare, who represents Yarmouth Nelson and Southtown, continues as deputy leader, having taken on the role in autumn last year.
Mr Morphew said: “This is a big year with county council elections next year, following closely after the general election.
”If we have a Labour government we need a strong and experienced local Labour presence to make sure Norfolk isn't let down by the county Tories.
“I'm proud to lead the Labour group and even prouder we are working in the interests of the whole of Norfolk.
”Our Labour label tells people what our values are but we're here for everyone in all parts of the county.”
Labour are the third largest party at County Hall, with 10 councillors.
The Conservatives, who control the council with 54 councillors, re-elected Kay Mason Billig as their group leader last month.
