Four people have appeared in court in connection with a group supplying drugs onto the streets of Great Yarmouth.

Norwich Crown Court was told the group had been sent by magistrates because of the seriousness of the charges with prosecutor Oliver Haswell saying they were part of a drugs conspiracy.

Louis Guy, 34, of no fixed abode but from the seaside town, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply diamorphine, dubbed street heroin, and cocaine between September 2023 and April 2024.

Billy Gleeson, 21, of Yarmouth Way, denied the same charges and will stand trial later this year.

Two co-defendants, Mark Dougal, 61, and Jodie Burt, 38, did not enter pleas and the cases against them were adjourned until a later date.

Guy, who appeared in custody via video link from HMP Norwich, also admitted possession of criminal property over £3,561 cash seized when he was arrested.

He will be sentenced at the conclusion of the trials involving the others.

Guy and Burt were remanded in custody by Judge Anthony Bate. Gleeson and Dougal were given conditional bail.
