A new café serving everything from bacon rolls to hot brownies is opening in a Norfolk village. 

Breakfast & Brownies will be located at 28 High Street in Heacham and the owners are friends Sarah Pitt and Susie Ayres. 

It is a sister business to Simply Cake Co., which Mrs Ayres launched in 2017 and posts sweet treat boxes across the UK from the Hardwick Narrows Industrial Estate in King's Lynn.

For the last five years, Mrs Pitt has sold its products at various events, including farmers' markets and food fairs.

The pair are now collaborating on Breakfast & Brownies, which will open on June 22 2024.

The offering will include coffee, hot chocolate, pastries, breakfast rolls, toasties, loaded hash browns and Simply Cake Co. treats, such as hot brownies.

Mrs Pitt, who lives in Heacham, said: "We wanted to open a super friendly café that is a lovely place to meet up and have something nice to eat and drink."

The Simply Cake Co. range is gluten-free and there are vegan options too.

The opening hours will be Wednesday to Sunday from 8am to 3pm.
