A rogue trader alert has been issued after two men attempted to scam a family out of £1,200.
Norfolk County Council is warning people to be aware of doorstep cold callers offering to "clean or clear gutters".
The warning comes after police revealed two cold callers visited a home in Keyes Avenue, Great Yarmouth.

The pair offered to clean the gutters before claiming they had found "damage on the roof" and asked for £1,200 to carry out the work.
Norfolk County Council Trading Standards advised people to "never deal with cold callers looking to undertake work on or around your property".
Instead, they recommended homeowners "only deal with reputable companies you have researched and chosen yourself and have obtained a written quotation from".
A spokesman for Norfolk County Council Trading Standards said: “As we move into spring and summer, we are seeing more cold callers visiting people in the county.
“Our advice is never to accept an offer of work from someone who turns up at your door or cold calls you on the telephone."

The cold callers were seen leaving in a white van after the property owners declined their offer.
Officers have arranged to speak to the victim at a later date.
Anyone who spots cold callers operating in Norfolk is asked to contact Citizens Advice or Norfolk police.
