It was a job to say who was enjoying it the most - the pets or their owners.
Doggy paper the Barking Bugle has been organising the event at Glebe House School for 15 years.
David Whitehill, one of its chief repawters, said: "It's one of the biggest we've had. It's warm but there's a breeze, so it's perfect weather."

There were classes for everything from prettiest girl and boy to veterans, rescue dogs and the waggiest tail.
Maureen Howard, Hunstanton's deputy mayor, was on hand to present the rosettes for the first few heats.
"I love dog shows and this is so much fun," she said. "It's nice to see people out with their dogs enjoying themselves."
