Plans have been revealed for an Airbnb above a quayside chippy.
Platten's has applied to North Norfolk council for planning permission to turn its first floor restaurant at Number 12, The Quay, at Wells into a holiday let.
It says in a planning statement: "The first floor was always more difficult to run as a restaurant as all the food preparation areas are on the ground floor.
"This leaves the first floor of Number 12 open for discussion for an alternative use and Airbnb type holiday accommodation was considered as this is always at a premium in Wells and would be advantageous to the business financially."

The statement says there is a shortage of short-term lodgings in the area during the holiday season.
Some 611 of the 1,563 homes in Wells are currently holiday lets or second homes.
A referendum is expected later this year on a new neighbourhood plan, which includes a primary residence condition on any new-builds.
