A miniature railway is on track for a bumper bank holiday weekend with a Diesel Gala featuring seven locomotives.
The Top Field Light Railway, located at the same site as Whitwell & Reepham Station (NR10 4GA), is hosting the event on Sunday, May 5 2024 from 12noon until 5pm.
The unique 7 1/4 inch gauge railway is operated by members of the Whitwell & Reepham Model Engineering Club and construction began in 2016.

At the Diesel Gala, expect a variety of internal combustion and battery locos running to an intensive timetable.
Goods and passenger trains will operate on its newly relaid line throughout the day.

There will be seven locos, including three making their public debut which are Emlyn, made from an engine and gearbox from a Mini Cooper, Scamp 137 and LNER Y6.
Return journeys cost £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for children or unlimited travel rover tickets are £5 and £3, respectively.
There is free parking and Steam Sunday is running at Whitwell & Reepham Station from 10am to 4pm.
