A west Suffolk Audi driver has been banned from the roads for six months and told to pay costs after he was caught speeding in excess of 100mph on the A14.
David Easton, aged 47 and of Yew Drive in Brandon, was accused of driving an Audi on the A14 at Cold Ashby, near Northampton, at speeds in excess of the 70mph limit on August 26 last year.
He was recorded driving at speeds of 102mph.
Easton pleaded guilty to the charge and it was dealt with via the single justice procedure at Northampton Magistrates' Court in Northamptonshire.
He was fined £153, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £61 and costs of £90.
This meant the total amount Easton was told by magistrates to pay out was £304.
Easton was also disqualified from holding or obtaining driving licence for six months.
Disqualification was described as "obligatory due to repeat offending", according to a court listing.
His driving record was endorsed with six points as a result of the conviction.
