Two Norfolk beaches have been named among the best in the UK in a handpicked guide.
Holkham and Cromer were included on the list of the 34 best beaches in the UK by TimeOut.
Holkham came in at an impressive second place and was described by TimeOut as "best for feeling a million miles away from civilisation" and "easily one of the best-looking beaches in the UK".
The long sandy stretch of beach is surrounded by a nature reserve of pinewood trees and salt marsh and is a top place for birdwatching.
It has a car park and cafe with toilets nearby as well as Holklham Hall where visitors can find a play area, cafe, deer park and museum.

The publication recommended a stay at The Victoria, a hotel with a "posh contemporary-cottage feel" where guests can "dine in the restaurant for fresh shellfish with samphire from the Holkham coastline".
Cromer beach came in towards the end of the list at number 32.
It was praised by TimeOut as the "best for reliving your childhood and parading down a pier".
The article describes Cromer as "refreshingly" untouched by the "usual seaside tourist tat" and praises its theatre where visitors can enjoy regular soul nights, comedy shows and original productions.
The writer recommended a trip to No1 Cromer for the local crab and "addictive" deep-fried cockle popcorn as well as a stay at The Gunton Arms.
