The return of Great Yarmouth's leading outdoor arts festival is only weeks away.
With a new slot in the calendar, the 16th instalment of the Out There Festival will transform the town into a wild and wacky wonderland of circus acts, street art and scintillating live performances from Thursday, May 30 until Saturday, June 1.
The three-day event will feature a number of acts for families to enjoy. Here are some of the announced highlights:
Dizzy O’ Dare - Kevin Tickles Dogs
Expect theatrics and hijinks as Kevin Tickle shows off the classy canines he has been working with over the years. The daring dogs will be showing off their skills in the form of games such as sausage bobbing, fastest recall and acrobatic feats.
Rimski & Handkerchief
Returning to Out There, musical clown duo Rimski and Handkerchief will be riding their Bicycle Piano and Double Bassicles as they attempt to enjoy an afternoon out at their favourite picnic spot.
Gorilla Circus – RPM
Expect to see exhilarating acrobatics, adrenaline-pumping street dance and breath-taking roller skating set on a giant moving treadmill as RPM explores the absurd aspects of modern society.
Celebrating 20 years of The Insect Circus
From the four corners of the world, many star trainers will be in attendance - presenting the finest performing insects in the known world.
Alongside nature’s rarest butterfly, fearsome wasps, flighty flies, agile ants, busy beetles, amazing mantids, a delicate mayfly, a bumbling bee and not forgetting a worm and some seldom humble dust mites.
15feet6 – Primus
Look out for this explosive piece of circus entertainment with impressive roller skating, bicycle tricks and hijinks.
Out There director Joe Mackintosh said: "Last year saw around 65,000 people attend and this year features a strong line-up of international performances and we’re also celebrating the shared vision and imagination of the community, highlighting the best UK artists in the outdoor arts as well as the developing stars of the future.
"It all comes together in a rich mix chock full of world premieres and new creations."
