Missiles were thrown between rival football fans during ugly scenes before the East Anglian derby.

The items - including bottles - were lobbed as Ipswich Town supporters arrived at Carrow Road for their clash with Norwich City.

In footage filmed near Kerrison Road, near the away fan area of the ground, police can be seen using horses and vans to try to create a barrier to keep the two sets of supporters apart.

The objects are thrown from the direction of the Ipswich fans.

Several officers can also be seen filming the incident with cameras mounted on poles.

One witness said: “The police did not have hold of the situation - there were children there.
