A woman who died after police were called to her house following reports of concerns for her safety has been named.

Kendall Jarrett - who used the same name as American model Kendall Jenner online - died at her home in Scott Close, Sprowston, on March 18, one day after her birthday.

Police attended the 34-year-old make-up artist’s property shortly before 9am after being contacted. Despite the efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at 9.44am.

An inquest into her death was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court, based at County Hall, on April 2. 

Area coroner Yvonne Blake confirmed her particulars and stated that she was born on March 17, 1990, in Norwich. Ms Blake gave the medical cause of death as hanging.

A Just Giving page set up in Ms Jarrett's memory has gone on to raise more than £5,500. The donations are expected to go towards funeral costs. 

It was organised by friend Georgina Read. She wrote: “Our dearest friend, mum, sister and daughter sadly took her own life at the age of 34 after battling mental health.  

“Kendall always put others before herself and we would really like to return the favour by giving her the send-off she deserves. Any donation would be appreciated.” 

In 2017, Ms Jarrett was jointly behind a fundraising page which raised £11,500 for the funeral of Kerri McAuley, who was murdered by former partner Joe Storey in her Norwich home.  

He was sentenced to at least 24 years in jail. 

Following Ms Jarrett’s death, Lesley McAuley, the mother of Ms McAuley, has donated to the fundraiser. 

She wrote: “Fly high, shine bright, dance and sing with the angels in paradise sweet angel. 

“[I will] always remember how you were there in my darkest days and what you did when my beautiful princess gained her wings.” 

A full inquest to determine the official cause will take place at the court on September 13.
