A city bridge is set to be replaced in a £500k improvement scheme.
From April 15, New Mills Yard Bridge in New Mills Yard will be closed to pedestrians and cyclists.
Norfolk County Council believes the structure has deteriorated, reducing the weight it can safely hold.

The council is developing a new bridge and work is expected to begin in 2025, subject to planning permissions and approval.
The new bridge will be designed in alignment with the history and architecture of the area.
While the bridge is out of use, two diversion routes will be in place.
The work is expected to cost around £500k and will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors.
