From themed trails to an egg hunt, these are some of the best free events happening in Norwich over the Easter holidays.
1. Drop-in activities and The Kindness Choir
Where: Norwich Theatre Royal, Theatre Street, Norwich, NR2 1RL
When: April 9
Cardboard Creations: Build a Stage Set is a drop-in session from 10am to 3pm in the Octagon Bar and the Manual for Kindness activity booklet can be picked up from the café, box office or Stage Two.
Booking is essential for The Kindness Choir in the Long Bar, which runs from 1pm to 2pm, and families will learn popular songs from musicals.
2. Peter Rabbit Word Trail
Where: Chantry Place, Norwich, NR1 3SH
When: Until April 14 during centre opening hours
This free trail is a collaboration between Chantry Place and Wymondham-based Orchard Toys, who recently launched The World of Peter Rabbit collection.
Pick up a booklet from Langleys or The Works on the lower ground floor and collect letters around the centre.
The first 3,000 children to complete it will receive a free badge and correct entries have the chance to win a bundle of prizes.

3. Medieval Trail
Where: Castle Quarter, Castle Meadow, Norwich, NR1 3DD
When: Until April 30 during centre opening hours
To celebrate the transformation of the Norwich Castle Keep, visitors have been tasked with searching for hidden historical artefacts around the Castle Quarter.
Pick up a trail sheet and discover all the items to be in with the chance of winning a prize.
There is also a Lords and Ladies event on April 9 from 12noon to 4pm and a Medieval craft session on April 12 from 10am to 3pm - both are free to attend.
4. Dragon Egg Easter Trail
Where: National Centre for Writing at Dragon Hall, King Street, Norwich, NR1 1QE
When: April 1-3, 7-9, 10am-3pm
Eggs have been hidden around Dragon Hall and it is up to you to find them.
You can also create a decorated dragon egg to take home or leave it on the Easter tree.
This free activity is suitable for families with children aged up to eight years old.

5. Hats (and Shields) off to the Romans!
Where: The Green Room, Norfolk Record Office, The Archive Centre. Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DQ
When: April 3, 2pm-3.30pm
Create a Roman helmet and shield and have a go at making a Roman tortoise formation.
Learn more about Caistor Roman Town and Burgh Castle with the Norfolk Archaeological Trust handling collection.
