Shayne Stork Family Funeral Services is an independent funeral director with branches in Norwich and Sprowston. 

The business is run by Shayne, who has more than 30 years of experience in the funeral profession. 

His wife Emma takes care of the accounts and their sons Harry and Oliver work by their side. They are joined by funeral arranger Denise Edwards and administration assistant Sue Harper. 

Shayne and Emma’s daughter Abbie is currently at sixth form, but Shayne hopes she will join the family business in the future. 

This truly family-run business offers a wide range of funeral services, from unattended cremations to full burial services. 

The team can offer guidance on green burials, memorials and flower tributes. Funeral pre-payment plans are available. They can also help with repatriation.

Shayne and his team will try to help with a family’s wishes in any way they can, including their choice of transportation. 

“We can do the traditional transportation, but I will work with the family to give them what they want,” said Shayne. 

Transportation available includes horse and carriage or cart, motorbike hearses and Land Rover hearses. Shayne has even managed to get a boat and a helicopter to transport coffins for previous funerals. 

“Anything a family wants, any request, I would never say no to them, and try to find a way to make it happen,” said Shayne. 

Shayne first opened the business in Norwich, and has recently opened a second branch in Sprowston. 

“I have been based in Sprowston for many years and my children have gone to Sprowston schools,” said Shayne. “It’s nice to be back in the heart of Sprowston.” 

Shayne and the team are a big part of the local community. The business sponsors local youth football teams and picks a charity to raise money for each year. This year’s charity is Mind.
