The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children will spend the Easter holidays together at Sandringham as they adjust to Kate’s cancer diagnosis.
William and Kate were spotted leaving their home in Windsor by helicopter on Saturday with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
It is believed they headed to Anmer Hall, their home on the Sandringham Estate, where they will spend Easter privately while Kate recovers.
The future Queen announced on Friday that she had been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment.
Kate was originally due to return to her royal duties after the Easter holidays, but following her cancer diagnosis and ongoing treatment, the timeframe now remains uncertain.
King Charles has also been using the Sandringham Estate as a base to recuperate from his illness and it was believed he would spend Easter there as well.
However, Buckingham Palace announced today that the King and Queen will attend the Easter Mattins Service at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Easter Sunday, with other members of the royal family
The service will be his most significant public appearance since he and Kate were both diagnosed with cancer.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that the Prince and Princess of Wales will not be present at the service.
