Police have launched an investigation after an image emerged of a bus driver appearing to engage in an indecent act.
The photo, which has been circulated widely on social media, supposedly shows a First bus driver dressed in a high-visibility jacket receiving oral sex next to a parked bus.
It is believed the picture was taken between 9pm and 10pm on Friday in Atlantic Avenue in Sprowston which is on the 11 and 11A Pink Line.
Police are keen to speak to the person who took the photo as a key witness and they are asked to contact the force quoting crime reference: 36/19637/24.
The 11 service uses the same recently introduced electric buses as seen in the image - which clearly shows the bus is part of the Norwich fleet.
A First East of England spokesman said: "We are aware of the alleged incident and the matter is under investigation."
One local, who lives in the housing estate which backs on to Atlantic Avenue, welcomed the investigation.
"Innocent until proven guilty I supposed - but it definitely looks rather compromising," she said.
"It was quite late at night but on some parts of the road there are houses that overlook it. If what everyone expects was going on, then it most definitely should not have been.
"I guess if it is proven the police should be involved. But really I'd say it is down to the bus company in the first instance and I am sure they are horrified and desperate to clear the incident up because it does not look good for them.
"I'm not sure if there are cameras on the bus but if there are they might have caught something ... I am glad I am not the one who has to check the film though!"
