A riverside Norfolk Broads pub that closed six months ago due to the cost of living crisis is set to reopen next week.

The Water's Edge, in Wroxham, closed in September when an unexpectedly huge energy bill was the nail in the coffin, forcing them to shut.

Armed with new solar panels, a fresh look and a different style the bar and restaurant has announced it will reopen on Thursday, March 28.

Having previously been a more traditional fine dining experience, the relaunch will see it taking on more of a classic British pub feel during lunch service - serving classics such as fish and chips, pies and steaks.

Laszlo Zupan, who is still general manager, said: "In the first few weeks we want to give all our focus to the service and the food, getting the basics down first.

"After that, we'll then look to experiment and host events such as pub quizzes, live music nights, and bingo nights."

In the evenings the Water's Edge will return to more of its old roots serving 'chef specials' with a changing, seasonal, menu.
