A bungalow is set to be demolished to make way for six new homes.
Fenland Council has given Mayfield Construction planning permission for the development at the junction of Lynn Road and De Havilland Road, in Wisbech.
A planning report says the site currently contains "an apparently unoccupied small flat-roofed bungalow with detached outbuilding and a container on a generous site, now generally overgrown and disused".

It adds it is located in a "visually prominent corner" next to the Bowthorpe Conservation Area and close to a Grade II listed mill tower.
"The site is in a poor and abandoned condition and detracts from the surrounding area," it goes on.
Two two-bed properties and four three-bed homes are proposed for the site.
Wisbech Town Council supports the proposals. No objections were received.
