Plans to turn a former hair and beauty salon into a holiday let have been given the go-ahead.
West Norfolk Council has agreed an application by Ady Coker to convert the premises on Paradise Road at Downham Market into a three-bed Airbnb.
Mr Coker said there was a lack of quality accommodation in the town.
A planning officer's report said the venture would meet its policy of promoting the "vitality" of Downham town centre.
It added: "The applicant has provided a supporting business plan, which demonstrates how the site will be managed and states that the proposal will provide a quality accommodation option for visitors within the town centre."
It said the proposal would also improve "a currently empty and poorly-maintained building" which had been vacant for a number of years and would have "minimal" impact on its neighbours.
The plans were supported by Downham Market Town Council.
