The owner of a bridal and prom dress shop near Norwich will have her turn in the spotlight as she competes for the Mrs Galaxy UK title. 

Rebecca Carnemolla, 36, opened Love To Dress in February 2023 and it is based at Crome House in 231 St Faith's Road, Old Catton.

She has competed in pageants since 2007 and it was her difficulty in finding the perfect outfit that inspired her business.

Mrs Carnemolla, who lives in Thorpe Market, said: "When I sought gowns, options were limited, pushing me towards online purchases fraught with the risk of mismatched styles, shapes or sizes.

"Love To Dress was born from the desire to redefine the local dress shopping experience and our core focus is to make every customer feel beautiful, happy and empowered."

She was named Mrs Norfolk Galaxy in November 2023 and she will now compete for the national title on March 24 2024 in Warrington.

While it involves catwalks, including swimwear and evening wear, Mrs Carnemolla was attracted to this competition as it is more about "who you are as a person".

This includes charity and community work and she has been fundraising for Norfolk and Waveney Mind.
