A man has been charged with robbery offences and multiple thefts from shops in the Costessey and Norwich area.
James Newton, 32, of Jay Gardens, Norwich, has been charged with six thefts from shops between January 17 and March 3, two counts of robbery and a further count of attempted robbery between February 27 and March 2, 2024.
He was also charged with the possession of a bladed article on March 2, criminal damage to property on March 3, and assault by beating on January 17, 2024.
Mr Newton appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court on March 4 and has been remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court on April 2, 2024.
