People thinking of running to become Norfolk's next police and crime commissioner have been invited to find out more about the process.
Norfolk will go to the polls to vote for the commissioner - the elected official tasked with setting out the way crime is tackled by Norfolk police - on Thursday, May 2.
Conservative Giles Orpen-Smellie currently holds the position, having won the 2021 election.
Prospective candidates and election agents are invited to a briefing at 6pm on Monday, March 11, at the Horizon Centre in Peachman Way at Broadland Business Park.
Trevor Holden, Norfolk police area returning officer, said: "This session will cover the timetable for the elections, the nomination process and where to find more information on the Electoral Commission website.
"We'll also talk about postal votes and will explain the verification and count arrangements. It should prove very useful for people thinking of putting themselves forward for the role of police and crime commissioner."
People should email stuart.guthrie@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk to confirm attendance, so there are enough information packs available.
Those wanting to vote in the election must be registered by April 16, at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
