A north Norfolk chippy has won a prestigious award celebrating "the best of the best" fish and chip shops around the country.
French’s Fish Shop in Wells scooped the prize at the National Fish and Chip Awards which were hosted by comedian Rob Beckett.
The business won the Quality Accreditation Champion category, which according to The National Federation of Fish Friers, "celebrates businesses throughout the UK that serve the highest quality fish and chips, demonstrate excellent working practices, and continually strive for the best".

French's has been selling fish and chips for more than 100 years and was originally opened by William Thomas French in 1921.
Four generations later, it is still run by the same family.
Its competitors in the category were Henley’s of Wivenhoe in Essex and Mike’s Traditional Fish & Chips in Hampshire.
The awards are judged by industry experts and have been running for more than 30 years.
