A city hotel and restaurant has announced its latest murder mystery event which will transport guests back to the 17th century.
The Assembly House will welcome Dreamstone Productions on July 6 for 'A Midsummer Night's Murder'.
Guests will be transported back to 1600 when The Assembly House was owned by Sir Thomas Cornwallis who has invited everyone in High Society to celebrate the upcoming wedding of his daughter.
But his daughter does not want to get married - and the acting troupe he has hired to perform is not very good - so Lord Cornwallis must fight to keep control of the party and avoid disaster.
Upon arrival, visitors can enjoy an elderflower spritz and canape reception in the Grand Hall before heading to the Music Room for the immersive theatre experience and a three-course meal.

Dessert, a Norfolk summer berry pavlova, will be followed by coffee and fudge.
Tickets cost £65 per person and can be pre-booked online.
