Two men are to stand trial having denied attempted murder following a near fatal knife attack in Norwich.
Tyrell Chester, 21, and Enock Kitopi, 22, were both charged following an incident in Silver Road when two men, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, were attacked with weapons, including a machete.
The victims, who are in their 20s, suffered injuries in the near fatal attack on September 18, 2022.
Chester, of Heathgate, Norwich, and Kitopi, of Geoffrey Watling Way, Norwich, both appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday when they both entered not guilty pleas to two counts of attempted murder and two counts of wounding with intent.
Both defendants also denied having an article with a blade or point, namely a machete, in Silver Road on September 18, 2022.
Kitopi also denied two further charges of witness intimidation and having an article with a blade or point in St John's Alley, Norwich on January 23 last year.
A trial has been fixed for July 22 this year with a further hearing due to take place on April 18.
Both Chester and Kitopi were granted conditional bail.
