Works are taking place at Happisburgh as part of the construction of an underground cable route for what will be one of the world's largest offshore windfarms at the north Norfolk coast.
Swedish energy firm Vattenfall's Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone (NOWZ) will consist of three windfarms: Norfolk Vanguard East and West and Norfolk Boreas, which together will power four million homes in the UK.
Construction work is under way on the 60km underground cable route which will connect these offshore projects to the National Grid at Necton.
The cable will reach land at Happisburgh where Vattenfall is currently carrying out a soil data survey, collecting samples by drilling a single borehole in a field where its cables will be installed.
The works are set to be complete by this Friday, March 1.
Works are being conducted between the hours of 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 1pm on Saturdays.
The final trenching to landfall at Happisburgh is believed to be towards the end of 2025.
