A royal Land Rover that was part of the Sandringham Estate fleet during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II has been sold at auction.
The 2008 Land Rover Defender 90 TDCi 2.4 County Station Wagon went under the hammer at the Silverstone Circuit on Saturday afternoon.
The vehicle spent its first 18 months at the 20,000-acre Norfolk country retreat, clocking up just 679 miles.

Since then, the Defender 90 has had several owners and its most recent one has done more than 40,000 miles over the last 14 years.
It has been described as having a “rather exclusive combination of Galway Green with a black cloth interior".

It was sold through Midlands-based Iconic Auctioneers on Saturday and the guide price was £30,000 to £35,000.
It was purchased at Silverstone for £31,000 through a telephone bid.
Speaking ahead of the bidding, Iconic Auctioneers said: "Judging by its current condition and mileage, one would assume it never took part in any general duties and was part of a very exclusive stable."
