The opening date for a much-anticipated market town bakery has been revealed.
Mabel, specialising in bread, pastries and cakes, will open in Downham Market on March 2 after many months of refurbishments.
Dan Frazer and Downham-born Lucy Peacock are launching the venture. The pair have collectively worked in highly-rated bakeries including Ottolenghi, Pophams and Lille across Europe, as well as operating bars in Hong Kong, Barcelona and Helsinki.
The pair have since returned home to launch Mabel, which will offer sourdough loaves, croissants and viennoiseries, among many more.

There will also be locally roasted filter coffee and other hot drinks.
Dan said: "Downham Market is a beautiful, historic town with lots of hidden gems and we're excited to bring something different to the already thriving independent business scene.
"We’ve been around the world perfecting our craft, but the dream was always to come back to the UK, be closer to our family and build something special for people to enjoy."
Lucy added: "Mabel is the combination of both our skills, experience and passion - to see it come to life is really a labour of love."
