The inquest of a cyclist who was killed in a crash on the outskirts of Norwich has been adjourned for a further three months.
Edward Cooke was cycling along the B1108 Watton Road at Colney, near to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, when he was involved in a crash with a black Mercedes.
The 55-year-old of Hethersett died at the scene from multiple traumatic injuries suffered in the collision on November 9, 2023.
At a short review hearing at Norfolk Coroner's Court this week, assistant coroner Christopher Leach said: “The police investigations continue and therefore it would not be appropriate for this inquest to resume.
“I note that there is some toxicology evidence that has recently been obtained as part of the investigation.
“I am therefore adjourning this inquest for a further three months.”
At an inquest opening held last year, it was confirmed that Mr Cooke was born in Newham in London and was employed as a fitter and plumber.
Another pre-inquest review will take place late in the year on June 24.
