A former village butcher shop could become a takeaway and restaurant.
West Norfolk Council has received a planning application to change the use of the former Curtis Butchers Shop on Gaultree Square at Emneth, near Wisbech.
A design and access statement says: "The project involves converting a vacant butcher shop into a takeaway and restaurant, accompanied by the installation of a new extraction flue system and the replacement of the existing old timber-framed shopfront with a new aluminium shopfront.

"The proposed changes aim to revitalize the premises, contributing to the economic and social vibrancy of the local community."
The statement adds the design has been "carefully considered to complement the surrounding area" and the exterior will be "tastefully renovated".
Planning papers say the proposals would create three full and four part-time jobs.
