A tornado warning is in place for Norfolk as strong winds are set to batter the county.
The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (Torro) has issued a severe weather forecast and warned that isolated tornadoes may hit Norfolk.
Torro warned Norfolk could see mesocyclones and a "low-topped supercell or two" may be possible.
The organisation defines a severe thunderstorm as producing tornadoes, hail with diameter of at least 20mm or non-tornadic winds of 55mph or more near the ground.
A spokesman for Torro said: "A cold front will cross the area overnight and on Thursday, with one or more waves developing along it, in response to an upper short-wave trough.

A yellow Met Office weather warning for strong winds stretches from Stalham to the south of the county and is in until 6pm today
