A man is to stand trial over a horrific attack in which another man was hit over the head with a hammer.
Tony Bywater, 41, of Rosewood in Lowestoft, was arrested on February 11 after the seriously injured alleged victim sought help from a neighbour.
Appearing at Norwich Magistrates’ Court he did not enter pleas to charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, theft and possession of cannabis.
He was given conditional bail until he stands trial at Ipswich Crown Court.
