A heavy metal guitarist has appeared in court charged over thousands of indecent images of children.
Lajos Reszegi, 40, who has played guitar with a band called Ain’t My Crime, pleaded not guilty at Norwich Magistrates’ Court.
He faces three charges of making indecent images of youngsters including 947 deemed to be category A - the most serious type.
He is also accused of making 1,108 category B images and 1,625 category C images between June 1 and July 31, 2020.
All the offences are said to have occurred in Norwich.
Appearing in the dock, the rocker, of Sawmill Court, off Penn Gove, Norwich, spoke only to confirm his name, address and to deny the charges.
Deputy District Judge Sundeep Pankhania said the seriousness of the allegations meant he was declining jurisdiction.
He sent the case to be heard at Norwich Crown Court with a first hearing scheduled for March 7.
Reszegi was granted unconditional bail but was warned he would be committing a serious offence if he failed to appear in court.
