Release date revealed for Mary and George filmed in Norfolk

Film crews for new series Mary and George were spotted shooting on Old Hunstanton beach in June. 

The drama stars Oscar-winning actress Julianne Moore and is inspired by the story of George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham and reputed lover of King James I, and his mother Mary Villiers, Countess of Buckingham.

It has now been confirmed that all seven episodes of the series will be available to watch on Sky Atlantic and NOW on March 5.

There were other actors on the beach for filming (Image: Chris Bishop)Game of Thrones and Rings of Power actor Joseph Mawle, who will portray Sir Walter Raleigh, was seen in Hunstanton last year shooting a scene where he walked out of the sea.

Eyewitnesses also saw a 15ft boat, actors with swords and wooden chests holding treasure.
