A pub in a Norfolk village has become a dining destination in recent years and this success has now been built on with a huge revamp.
The Angel at Watlington, located between Downham Market and King's Lynn, was taken over by chef Richard Crouch and his partner Emily Phipps in September 2018.
The experienced publicans refurbished the building when they first took it on and the food offering in particular has wowed locals.

This has been recognised nationally and in November 2023 it was awarded two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence.
The Angel at Watlington has also reached the finals of the Eat Game Awards 2024 and it was recently named the East of England's gastropub of the year at the Prestige Awards.
Ms Phipps said: "We saw a lot of potential when we took on the pub and thought that freshly-cooked food made to order using local produce would really work here.
"The King's Lynn area is undervalued in a lot of ways and people don't necessarily think of it as somewhere for dining.
"We are trying to make a lot of noise about the area and there is so much great produce nearby."
As The Angel at Watlington's reputation for food and drink continues to grow, with aims of three AA Rosettes in 2024, they have turned their hand to the building itself.

The pub has recently reopened after being shut for the majority of January for an extensive refurbishment of the interior and exterior.
This has included new furniture and flooring, revamped toilets, a fresh bar layout and landscaping outside.
Ms Phipps added: "Customers have said that the place finally matches the quality of the food, which is what we wanted to achieve.
"The aim was to be the type of pub people expect for somewhere with 2 AA Rosettes."
