Bringing the fun of the fair indoors, True's Yard Fisherfolk Museum will host a fun-filled, free family activity day to celebrate the return of The Mart.

Packed with crafts and classic funfair games like Hook a Duck, Skittles, and Ring Toss, children and an accompanying adult can enjoy the festivities without any cost.

Museum curator, Lindsey Bavin, said: "The Mart is an important part of King's Lynn's history.

"Ever since the Henry VIII sealed the Charter granting a Valentine's Day fair in 1537, it has been celebrated with only a few missed years due to plagues, or wars.

"Locally however, The Mart is also known for 'Mart Weather', so we wanted to create a weatherproof option for families which also has the bonus of being free."Eastern Daily Press: The activities are free for children and one accompanying adult The activities are free for children and one accompanying adult (Image: True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum)

The activities are scheduled for 10.30am-12noon and 1pm-3pm on February 21.
