Two months of work are under way to improve the pedestrian crossing at a busy town junction.
The work is being carried out at Matsell Way in Dereham to widen the crossing, repair the road and pavement surface and lay pipes.
It is closed for 90 metres north of its junction with Norwich Road and Station Road.

A signed diversion route is via upper Matsell Way, Neatherd Road, Crown Road and Norwich Road.
Access will be maintained for residents but there may be some "unavoidable delays", according to Norfolk County Council.
The works are expected to take eight weeks to complete, weather permitting, until March 15.
Nearby Swaffham Road has temporary two-way traffic lights in place to allow Cadent Gas to carry out utility repair and maintenance works which may create pinch points.
