A discount department store is opening a new branch in a Norfolk seaside town. 

The Original Factory Shop is set to open a store in Gorleston.

The chain was established in 1969 and it now has more than 180 shops across the UK including branches in Dereham, Wymondham and Fakenham.

Last year saw the opening of The Original Factory Shop in Attleborough as well as the closure of the Diss store, which was based in Victoria Road for more than 10 years. 

This was despite "best efforts" to save the shop.

The chain sells discounted branded products, men's and women's fashion, beauty, home accessories and furnishings, electricals, pet supplies and groceries.

The Original Factory Shop is currently hiring for a store manager, assistant store manager, sales colleague and supervisor for the new branch.

The deadline for applications is February 20 but an opening date and exact location for the shop has not been confirmed.
