There was heavy traffic on the A11 last night as police and fire crews battled a vehicle blaze.
The fire broke out on the northbound carriageway between Thetford and Larling just after 5pm.
Fire crews wore breathing apparatus and used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and stood down at 6.05pm.
There was a heavy build-up of traffic on the road and police warned motorists to find alternative routes.

One lane reopened at around just after 8.40pm while the other remained closed for carriageway repairs.
There are reports that the car the car on fire was a Mini.
The extent of any injuries are unknown.
