Norwich Lanes is one of the city's most vibrant areas. The medieval backdrop streets are filled with independent cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars.
With hundreds of independent businesses, here are five of the newest additions that are worth a visit.
Slice on the Lanes
Where: 3 Bridewell Alley
One of Norwich's newest independent eateries is the brainchild of Jeff Taylor, the man behind Bun X, and Kat Doonan, the owner of Kookie Ko.
Slice on the Lanes, which opened in the former home of Sicily Trattoria, is a "Kosy Kaff" by day serving Kookie Ko's sweet treats before pizza and pints in the evening.
Bare Food Deli
Where: 20 St Benedicts Street
The new deli that opened in December in St Benedicts Street is stuffed with Norfolk treats waiting to be discovered.
From Dann's Ice Cream and Montys Mustards and Chutneys to local cheeses and fresh bread, the shop highlights the best in the region.
There are takeaway treats such as drip coffees, pastries, soup and toasties, and the deli is set to expand to sandwiches very soon.
Bellyboos
Where:
The dessert shop that flew to TikTok fame for serving loaded milkshakes, pancakes and cakes moved to Lower Gate Lane in October.
The desserts are inspired by the popular 'freakshakes' served in America which are garnished with cakes, biscuits and other sweet toppings.
The family-owned business originally launched in Gorleston in 2013.
Cosmic Jo's
Where: 25 Bedford Street
The sci-fi and fantasy store opened in the former home of Griffin Sweets in Bedford Street.
The shop and café is run by Jonathan Storey and his partner Bradley Brady, who are both from Great Yarmouth but worked in Los Angeles for many years.
Cosmic Jo's is targeted at sci-fi and fantasy fans of all ages and sells items ranging from £4 to £400.
There are several themed spaces with photo opportunities including an entire room dedicated to Star Wars memorabilia.
Bar Cerdita
Where: 67 London Street
Bar Cerdita, the sister premises of Italian restaurant Benoli, launched in August last year.
The tapas restaurant in London Street offers more of a bar feel, with small plates instead of courses.
The menu includes vegetable, fish and meat tapas dishes, including patatas bravas, a skate wing and crispy suckling pig.
