A Norfolk-based company has been snapped up by an international energy group, in a move the sellers hope will elevate the business to the global market.
RenEnergy, a renewable energy product supplier based in Blofield, was bought by Aggreko - one of the world’s leading energy service groups.
The Norfolk firm, which was founded in 2006, designs and installs solar panels to clients around the world - including the Reef leisure centre in Sheringham last year.
The company will continue to operate under the RenEnergy brand, with managing director Damian Baker adding: “Aggreko really is the perfect partner for us as our capabilities and growth aspirations complement and strengthen one another.
“I am confident that our business will continue to thrive under Aggreko's stewardship."
Mills and Reeve corporate partner James Hunter, who led the team advising the sale, said: “The excellent synergies between the two companies will create a major force in the global renewables sector, and the acquisition provides RenEnergy with the perfect platform to achieve its international growth ambitions.”
