Norfolk police has been granted extra time to question a man arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman's body in Great Yarmouth.
Officers were alerted to an incident on Princes Road just after 9am yesterday after receiving information that the body of a woman was inside a property.
They attended the address where a woman, believed to be in her 30s, was discovered.
The arrested man, aged in his 40s, remains in custody at Great Yarmouth police station where detectives will continue to question him today.
A cordon remains at the property while further enquiries are carried out and officers work to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the Princes Road area to come forward.
