Motorists heading northbound were advised to follow this unsigned diversion route:
- At the A134/B1107 roundabout, take the third exit onto the A134.
- Continue on the A134 to the signalised junction with London Road.
- At the signals, turn left into London Road and continue through Thetford to the A1066/A1075 roundabout.
- Take the second exit to rejoin the A11.
Several villages around the road were experiencing heavy congestion after queueing traffic was rerouted from the accident site.
Delays have now cleared.
