More affordable homes are on the way for a Norfolk village after councillors approved the scheme.
Stoke Ferry in west Norfolk is to have 29 new properties constructed on land off Lynn Road, close to the village hall.
Freebridge Community Housing, one of the largest providers of affordable homes in the county, is behind the scheme.
Outline planning permission had previously been granted for the site but the plans have come back under scrutiny after design and layout changes were made.
The plans gained widespread support from the parish council and a number of villagers.
The 100pc affordable homes scheme will provide a mix of one-bed and four-bed homes and it also includes the construction of a new car park for the village hall.
Members voted unanimously to approve the scheme during a West Norfolk Council planning committee meeting.
It comes after plans for shops and flats on land a short distance to the north of the development were rejected by members during the same meeting.
Stoke Ferry is considered a key 'rural service centre' in the region and is expected to grow in size considerably in forthcoming years with plans to build more than 100 homes there.
