More than 20 people were arrested in Norfolk for offences including assault on New Year's Eve.
Traditionally, it is one of the busiest nights of the year for Norfolk police and the operation is planned months in advance to make sure there are sufficient resources in place to keep people safe.
A spokesman for Norfolk police said officers in Norwich made 10 arrests in Norwich for offences such as assault and being drunk and disorderly.
