There are a lot of roadwork projects beginning across the county with the arrival of the new year.
Here are five major projects starting in Norfolk in January.
1. Stalham High Street
Stalham High Street will be closed for essential pavement resurfacing works from January 8 onwards.
The work was originally planned to start on November 13 and last 14 weeks but was delayed in an effort to protect trade for businesses during the Christmas period.
The road will be closed from the junction of Lower Staithe Road to the junction of Baker Street for 10 weeks while the damaged pavement surface and drainage systems are removed and replaced.
2. Wells Road
The A149 Wells Road in Burnham Overy Staithe will be closed for two weeks from January 8 until January 19.
The first section of the work will be from the 30mph limit sign to the west of the village along Tower Road.
The second will be from the junction of West Harbour Way to East Harbour Way and the last from East Harbour Way until the 30mph sign at the east of the village.
3. Dereham Road
The next section of the work on Dereham Road in Costessey is set to begin on January 8 and will be carried out in phases until July, focussing on the Bowthorpe Travel Hub.
The existing road closure at Three Mile Lane will be extended and reduced speed limits will also be in place.
The first phase of the £4m project has also been extended into the new year due to additional drainage and carriageway resurfacing work required at the Folwell Road junction.
4. Queens Road
The £1m revamp of part of the Norwich city centre ring road is expected to take around three months.
The project includes a new bus lane on Queens Road for vehicles turning into the bus station as well as new road markings on the Chapelfield Road approach to the St Stephens roundabout.
Phase one of the work will take place between January 8 and January 29 and will involve lane closures and changes to bus station access.
5. Mill Road and New Road junction
Cadent Gas Works and UK Power Networks will be carrying out work in Hethersett at the junction of Mill Road and New Road, Hethersett Lane, Henstead Road and Baker Drive.
Locals have expressed frustration as there will be disruption to bus services throughout the works.
First has warned of severe delays between January 2 and January 23 and has told customers that some stops will not be served during this period.
