A chaplain well known for his dedication to education, sport and the RNLI has been celebrated in the New Year Honours list.
Reverend Albert Cadmore, from Great Yarmouth, has been awarded a British Empire Medal for his service to the community.
For decades, Rev Cadmore, 76, has been involved in multiple organisations across the region, teaching at Claydon High School and Stalham High School from 1970 until 2005.
He is currently a governor at Lynn Grove Academy and a trustee for East Coast College.
Rev Cadmore has also been chaplain to eight Great Yarmouth mayors, Norfolk County Council, Norwich City Football Club and Gorleston Football Club.
Rev Cadmore said of the honour: "I was very surprised to hear the news. I feel humbled that people in the community had nominated me.
"And I thank all those who played a part.
"I love our community, and I love serving it in the ways that I do."
For the past three decades, Rev Cadmore has been heavily involved with the Great Yarmouth and Gorleston RNLI, serving as its chaplain and is the current chairman for the station and fundraising and a water safety volunteer.
"The RNLI is a very big part of my life," Rev Cadmore said.
"And I hope my role in prevention is where I have my biggest impact."
Alongside his other duties, Rev Cadmore is a presenter with Harbour Radio.
He added: "While I am fit and able, I believe in continuing to stay active in as many of the roles as I can."
Joining Rev Cadmore in the New Year Honours list for a British Empire Medal from the Great Yarmouth area are Christopher Samuel Bradbury, for services to the community in Reedham, Pearl Ann Pearson-Brooke, for services to the community in Martham, and Virginia Dorothy Pitchers, for services to the community in Upton with Fishley.
