The trio behind a thriving micropub in Norwich have expanded their portfolio with a new site in Aylsham.
Couple Emily Bridges and Elliot Dransfield along with their friend Johnny Durrant, all aged 28, opened The Malt and Mardle in Magdalen Street in the city in July 2021.
Following the success of their Norwich business, in August 2023 they got the keys to a second premises at 27 Red Lion Street in Aylsham, which was previously a telescope shop.

The Porters Arms pub opened on December 22 after several months of renovation at the site, which the trio mostly did themselves.
This includes a new 10-tap bar with four real ales, five keg craft beers and a cider line.
Miss Bridges said: "Aylsham is a very up-and-coming town and I also grew up in the area.
"There are lots of great food and drink businesses, but we saw a gap in the market for the craft beer side of things."

The drinks on tap will rotate, which includes local brews, and there is also a fridge full of craft beer cans with different styles, from pale ales to sour varieties, to have in or takeaway.
Currently, there is only seating on the ground floor, but they plan to utilise the upstairs space in the future.
Also on offer at The Porters Arms are a range of wines, spirits, soft drinks and snacks.

Miss Bridges added: "The reaction has been amazing so far and it has gone beyond our wildest expectations.
"We are so grateful for the support from the local community and businesses - as soon as we opened last Friday we were packed."
The Porters Arms is open 4pm-10.30pm Wednesday and Thursday, 1pm-10.30pm Friday and Saturday and 1pm-7pm on Sundays (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) and it takes cash or card.
