A Norwich inmate, jailed for a 'horrific' attack on his own father, racially abused and spat in the face of a prison worker.
Chaz Thacker, 31, attacked the female forensic psychologist during a consultation at HMP Norwich where he is serving a sentence of more than four years.
Appearing before Norwich Magistrates’ Court via video link from the prison he admitted racially aggravated abuse and assault.
Denise Holland, prosecuting, said a meeting on June 2 about his prison management plan had “got out of hand” before he spat and directed a racist term.

James Landles, mitigating, said his actions had been the result of mental health and behavioural problems.
Thacker, from Cockfield, Suffolk, was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Crown in September for an attack when he punched and kicked his father while wearing steel-toed boots.
In two other incidents, in 2021 and 2022, he smashed up a holiday home and damaged vehicles in traffic.
Magistrates ordered that he pay £100 compensation and fines and costs of £210 when he is released from prison.
